Manager of Zubeen Garg.

Primary Allegations

He is accused of failing to ensure Zubeen’s safety during the yacht/seawater outing — particularly regarding life jackets, supervision, and knowing Zubeen’s medical condition (history of seizures).

  • Exploitation & Financial Irregularities

Some allege that he was misusing Zubeen’s name or property for profit.

Concerns over the management of royalties, copyrights, and revenue from songs under their joint ventures.

  • Possible Cover-Up / Lack of Transparency

His residence was raided by SIT, possibly to seize documents or evidence.

SM
Shaymkanu Mahanata

Organizer of NE Festival in Signapore

Primary Allegations

  • Exploitation / Pressures on Zubeen
Some allege that Zubeen Garg was pushed to perform at the festival despite being unwell, or that organisers (including Mahanta) exploited his popularity.

  • Lack of Accountability / Transparency
It is alleged he was unaware of the yacht trip (or did not give prior sanction) when it was organised by local Assamese community members. Critics say this is a deliberate distancing to avoid liability.
Also accused of not being present at the incident spot, possibly delaying response or involvement. Mahanta has responded that he was in a meeting away from the site.
